music city series: Old Glory

Before Halloween, some of my girlfriends and I tried out Old Glory, which is a one-of-a-kind bar here in Nashville. Never did I expect to walk into a dungeon-like room and find music, drinks, and laughter.

The history behind the space is unique. With a smokestack standing tall, Old Glory sits in the former boiler room of White Way Cleaners. This bar has a speakeasy feel to it with no sign on the outside, only a gold triangle to guide.

I got the ”Good News” cocktail which was absolutely delightful whilst my friends tried the Harvest Moon and Emro’s Cove. These cocktails were a little pricier so this is not an every weekend bar for me.

Another cute aspect of Old Glory is the photo booth! Jess and I got our pictures taken and it was the perfect way to document the night.

If you want to hang out at Old Glory, I recommend going early. We got there at 6 pm with no wait, but when we left at 8 pm, the line was out the door. If you decide to have your next drink at Old Glory, I’d love to hear your take.
