cheers to what’s to come

To say the last few months have been a whirlwind is an understatement. Over the last six months, I’ve had more success than I’ve had in my twenty-four years of life. I closed on my first real estate transaction, closed on my first home, got out of the hospitality industry, and landed a job as a Social Media & Marketing Coordinator.

In September, a close friend allowed me to compete to list her house for sale. I was fortunate that Crye-Leike put me in a position to prepare for that moment, and I could kill my first-ever listing presentation. Thankfully, they gave me the listing, which I will forever appreciate. My sellers ended up accepting an offer $36,500 over asking, and experienced a smooth closing.

Two days later, I closed on my first home. After submitting seven offers in one month, we finally had one accepted, which meant a move for Cash and me. We got to move in during late November, and I am still working on perfecting the design of each room. My first project was completely redesigning my bedroom closet.

Although I’ve loved the experience of working in real estate, it’s not the day-to-day job that I want right now. After leaving the restaurant industry in December, I was blessed to be referred for a job position. In January, I started as a Social Media & Marketing Coordinator at Tate + Zoey. This does not mean I am quitting real estate. I will continue to take on buyers and sellers whenever they come. I have a passion for helping people, and finding someone their dream home or selling a long-time family home is still important to me.

I have high hopes for what 2022 will bring. This month, I’ve already been to two concerts, Kacey Musgraves and Dua Lipa, which I’ll be sure to share more about later. This week, I’ll be experiencing Las Vegas for the first time and seeing the GOAT, Shania Twain. If this year continues at this pace, expect good things from me.
