Typically, on Valentine’s Day, girls get dressed up, and they are whisked away by whoever fancies them, but what’s the fun in that when you can go to one of the best concerts ever with one of your girlfriends. Want to know more? Well, keep reading!
Very last minute, Violet and I decided to get floor tickets to see the dancing queen, Dua Lipa, on Valentine’s Day because tickets were cheap and why not?! Lately, I’ve had this very carefree attitude and have just been wanting to live life to the fullest. I put on my Valentine’s best, a satin red polka dot dress and heels to hit the town. We hit Neighbors to pregame the show during Happy Hour and got two for one Bold Rock Ciders, a grilled cheese, and fried pickles. Jess and Sebastian met us there and waved us off.
We got to go through a special entrance to get our wristbands for the floor. Once inside, we did what only we would do… got Twisted Tea tallboys! 🙂 We were excited to jam out to the opener Carolina Polachek, who does an awesome cover of “Breathless” by The Corrs, and sings the TikTok hit, “So Hot You’re Hurting My Feelings.”
When Dua Lipa made her way to the stage, she was breathtaking. She opened up the show in a Balenciaga Lace Catsuit to perform her song Physical. She has a few outfit changes throughout the show, and her costumes were stunning by Mugler and Marine Serre. Lipa’s vocals, choreography, and graphics made her show stand out from the next. She sang some of my favorite songs, “IDGAF,” “One Kiss,” and “Don’t Start Now.”
The crowd at this concert was so alive, which made it stand out. Everyone was dancing, singing, and laughing with each other. We all watched in awe as Lipa completely drew us in. I can say for certain it was one of the top concerts I’ve ever attended. After the concert with confetti in our hair, we went to Broadway Brewhouse and chugged a Bold Rock Cider before heading home. Definitely a 10/10 Valentine’s Day.
